House Music Competition 2026
The 2026 House Music competitions showcased an outstanding level of talent, with 108 musicians performing in the ensemble competition and seventeen soloists
A special congratulations goes to the winners of the Ensemble Competition:
Overall Winner - School
Runners up - Lupton
Highly Commended - Mary Windsor
The intermediate and advanced solo finals were equally impressive; the adjudicator praised the commitment and standard of performances.
In the intermediate category, the winner was Anna H for her outstanding performance of ‘Burn’ from Hamilton.
In the advanced category, our winners were:
Roke M for Wind and Brass
Wesley S for Piano
Ella K for Singing
Marcus H for Strings
Carys R for Jazz, Rock, Pop and Improvisation
From those winners, the adjudicator awarded the Best Young Musician of the Year to Roke M for his virtuosic saxophone performance.
